About the Role

The Model is now seeking an ambitious and innovative Development Manager who will have specific responsibility for raising financial support for the organisation, from patrons, corporate groups, Trusts and Foundations, public funding agencies and international funding routes. The person will work closely with the Directors and the core Programme Team, collaboratively devising and implementing an innovative fundraising strategy, to support The Model’s interdisciplinary creative programme and to realise targets for sustainable funding.

Reporting to the Director, this role will be part of the management team. The person will work closely with the wider team to ensure that communication with patrons and supporters is regular and engaging, stewardship is managed, and The Model continues to engage with partners and patrons on all levels and across a variety of platforms including patron and cultivation events.

This role is part funded by the Arts Council through the RAISE Programme, an initiative aimed to promote private investment and drive philanthropic activity for arts and cultural organisations in receipt of statutory funding from the Government. Find more information about the RAISE Programme here.

To succeed in this role, you will need to be a dynamic, creative and committed individual who understands the value of Art, who is engaging and is a great communicator. You will have a previous successful track record in fundraising, or similar transferable skills and you will be capable of delivering on ambitious income targets. You will also have exceptional advocacy skills and you will be able to work under pressure, be adaptable and flexible.

If you have the fundraising skillset or similar transferable skills and can go that “extra mile” to make things happen and have an appreciation of the arts and culture sector or the not-for-profit sector, then this role is for you!
