SEI supports those who will solve Ireland’s social problems, this is not only the social entrepreneurs themselves, but all those willing to back them too. SEI’s work is all driven by their unfaltering belief in the power of people, helping people together. Since they were founded in 2004 SEI has supported over 500 social entrepreneurs in tackling social problems across the island of Ireland. 


About the Role


Social Entrepreneurs Ireland is seeking an ambitious person with a passion for social change. This role will offer the chance to gain an in-depth understanding of the work of social entrepreneurs in Ireland and direct experience of a range of activities within a not-for-profit organisation.  

The Development Assistant will report int the Director of Development to support the fundraising activity across the Development team with individuals, Corporates and Foundations.


This role is a great opportunity to join an exciting organisation and develop your fundraising skills. The successful applicant will have the right transferable skills from their life, education or other work experience. To succeed you will have a great willingness to learn, an interest in social entrepreneurship, enjoy working in a team and above all have a positive can-do attitude!


Key Responsibilities:


• Account management: Account management of monthly giving scheme and 5-10 small corporate and individual accounts, in addition to ad hoc grant applications.

• Administrative support: e.g. support on coordination of travel, meeting and events for the fundraising team, ensure all relevant areas of the website are kept up to date.

• Fundraising support: e.g. conducting research, providing support on grant applications and reports

• Supporter relations: e.g. Project management of supporter engagement activity (selection process, lunch and learns, community events)

• Teamwork: Work as an integral part of the fundraising team to maximise income and long-term supporter relationships as per the growth strategy.
