Through a range of programmes and services, the organisation inspires, educates, empowers, and supports young people to act.

The Role

ECO-UNESCO is currently seeking to strengthen its Senior Management team by appointing a Finance and Corporate Services Manager to ensure excellence in financial management for the organisation and support for key corporate service areas.  It is essential that the successful candidate has outstanding financial and organisational skills, with an ability to prioritise, plan and organise a complex workload effectively and to work under pressure to meet deadlines.  Importantly, the right person will also be aligned with the charities values and care deeply about protecting the environment and empowering young people to support this cause.

Duties will include the following:

  • Financial budgeting, planning, management and reporting to the SMT and Board
  • Ensuring good governance through sound accounting practice; legal compliance and risk management
  • Maintaining monthly accounts and book-keeping

  • Generating financial reports for funders
  • Managing contract arrangements and systems that support corporate activities and services, primarily buildings, facilities, IT and CRM

To be successful in this role, you will ideally possess the following:

  • Experience in a similar position developing and managing budgets, finances and other corporate services functions or a desire to expand your existing financial management experience to include corporate compliance and management responsibilities.
  • A relevant accounting qualification or experience in book-keeping and of maintaining/managing organisational finances and accounts.

If you have excellent financial, IT and analytical skills; are able to think strategically whilst focusing on operational detail and can manage a diverse workload with energy and enthusiasm, this could be the role for you.  It offers a great opportunity to join an organisation that is making a real difference to the lives of young people and the environment at a time when this has never been more needed.
