BACKGROUND: Social Entrepreneurs Ireland (SEI) is an Irish not-for-profit organisation that supports people with new solutions to Ireland’s biggest social problems. SEI helps these individuals to increase their impact by providing significant funding alongside in-depth technical and practical support. Over the last 14 years SEI has invested over €7 million in 264 social entrepreneurs, providing over €2 million worth of non-financial supports along the way. In the last year alone their projects impacted the lives of over 1.7 million people across Ireland, creating over 1,345 employment opportunities in the process.
We are now recruiting an experience Communications Manager to join our passionate team and increase the awareness of the impact of our work, develop the understanding of social entrepreneurship as a means of bringing about social change, and further highlight the great work of the social entrepreneurs that we support.
THE ROLE: Reporting to the CEO, the Communications Manager will develop SEI’s brand and build awareness of our work using a variety of communication tools such as marketing, branding, public relations, and social media. The successful candidate will be tasked with ensuring that we are speaking with a united and inspiring voice across all our communications, internally and externally.
You will be a highly motivated, solutions focused, communications professional with a track record of shaping the narrative of an organisation. You will possess exceptional communications and interpersonal skills as well as strong technological capabilities and you will be comfortable using a wide range of platforms.
Creativity and an ability to generate engaging messages are essential for this role! You will be able to capture a complex issue like social entrepreneurship and bring it back to powerful stories and authentic, meaningful impact.
