Cystic Fibrosis Ireland (CFI) is one of Ireland’s first and most well-known patient advocate and lobby groups. It was set up by parents in 1963 to improve the treatment and facilities for people with Cystic Fibrosis in Ireland. CFI also co-operates with medical professionals to give maximum assistance to both parents and children/adults with Cystic Fibrosis.


The Community Events Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating fundraising events for Cystic Fibrosis Ireland (CFI), seeking to maximise participation and income to deliver on agreed fundraising targets

To succeed in this role, you will have previous experience working in community or events fundraising and a proven track record in meeting fundraising targets. You will have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of audiences.

  • Support the implementation of the Fundraising Strategy and work plan
  • Full project management of key community events and overseas events, working with voluntary committees
  • Update and implement event plans for key events, including promotion of the events, recruiting and following up with participants
  • Follow up calls to donors, volunteers and fundraisers as appropriate
  • Provide content to Digital Marketing Coordinator to create promotional materials required for each event
  • Provision of content for Quarterly Magazine - Spectrum
  • Work with the Fundraising Manager and wider fundraising team on all areas required to achieve fundraising targets.
  • Receipting of income and recording all relevant details on Salesforce -Managing the CFI relationship with AdSales including delivery of net income as per the fundraising targets for Collection Boxes, Hampers and other CFI fundraising products that are distributed by AdSales agents in stores across the country
