Social Entrepreneurs Ireland (SEI) is a not-for-profit organisation that supports social entrepreneurs with innovative ideas to tackle Ireland’s social problems. We walk the path with a social entrepreneur from the moment they have an idea through to when they solve the problem at scale. Through our Step, Leap and Soar strategic pillars we provide social entrepreneurs with mentoring, training, funding, and access to a network of support to enable them to develop highly effective, sustainable, and scalable organisations. Since our foundation in 2004, we have invested over €7.3 million in 375 social entrepreneurs, providing over €2.9 million worth of non-financial supports along the way, and impacting the lives of over 1.7 million people across Ireland.
The organisation has undergone significant growth in the past 15 years and has delivered a range of support programmes to many different social entrepreneurs. As we prepare for further growth in the years to come, we are looking for a proactive, impact-driven Development Manager to join our passionate team, so that even more social entrepreneurs can benefit from our support in order to further grow their impact.
THE ROLE: The Development Manager will be the key member of the fundraising team developing and implementing a sales process focused on corporate, foundation and individual donors. You will drive lead generation, identify and nurture relationships with prospects, and achieve ambitious fundraising targets.
To succeed in this role, you will have a strategic mind-set, a passion for relationship management, technical know-how, and proven experience working to targets. You will be a highly motivated individual, who has an innate ability to sense new business opportunities and to develop and maintain long lasting relationships with external stakeholders including at C-Level and with high-net-worth-individuals. You will have a talent for managing and meeting supporters’ needs effectively and an ability to multitask and adapt to the various needs of the organisation.
This is a varied role which requires a dynamic, energetic professional with a strong track record in fundraising, sales or business development. If you’re a strong team player with the ability to produce and deliver results, excellent networking and presentation skills, and a genuine desire to see positive change come about more rapidly in society, this could be the role for you!
