The Dublin Rape Crisis Centre (DRCC) has a twofold mission: to prevent the harm and heal the trauma of all forms of sexual violence in Ireland. We provide therapeutic and first response services through the National 24/7 Helpline, face to face therapy and a developing online counselling programme. We provide accompaniment and support to those who attend the Rotunda Sexual Assault Treatment Unit, Garda Stations and the Courts. In addition, we offer education and training programmes for a wide variety of professionals and volunteers who work with those who have experienced sexual violence.
DRCC seeks to recruit a Head of Education and Training to join their Senior Management Team and lead the development and promotion of their Education and Training Support Programmes in order to build the capacity of the organisation to carry out its mission.
The successful candidate will have experience leading an adult education function, previous counselling or psychotherapy experience, and a proven understanding of adult learning and education processes, theories, and skills, including the role of experiential learning, trends in digital capability development and facilitation methods.
To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate the skills needed to design, deliver, and evaluate education and training programmes using face-to-face, online, blended, and other appropriate training approaches. You will have strong communication and networking skills and be comfortable building new strategic business and advocacy opportunities and relationships in support of the strategic objectives of the DRCC. You will lead a small Education and Training team and build upon established partnerships by promoting and developing effective collaboration with researchers, practitioners and other professionals and agencies to advance awareness and prevention of the trauma of sexual violence, promote equality and counter bullying and harassment.
If you are a strategic, experienced education and counselling professional with strong communication skills, and a proven ability to develop and implement educational programmes, we would love to hear from you!
