Location: This role can be based at head office (Dublin 8) or in one of Ages Action’s regional branches in Galway, Cork or Monaghan
Salary: €65,000 - €75,000

BACKGROUND: Age Action supports and advocates for equality and human rights for older people. Age Action is a values-led Organisation. They are now seeking an experienced Head of Programmes to join their Senior Management Team.
THE ROLE: Reporting directly to the CEO and line managing a team of three, the Head of Programmes will oversee and ensure the engagement of a broad range of stakeholders in Age Action’s programmes and activities. These programmes and activities include Care & Repair, Getting Started and Lifelong Learning, and Age Action’s wider policy work, volunteer engagement opportunities and income generation activities.
As Head of Programmes, you will lead all aspects of programme delivery across the organisation and you will drive a process of continuous innovation and improvement in your department. Key responsibilities will include reviewing programmes and assess their viability, identifying gaps in Age Action’s strategy delivery and developing areas of work to close these gaps, and developing relationships with Government Departments with a view to obtaining funding and delivering services.
To succeed in this role, you will be an able networker and communicator with the ability to work with and build trusted relationships with a variety of stakeholders and partners. You will have a minimum of five years’ experience working in a similar role within the not-for-profit, public or corporate responsibility sector and you will have significant line management experience, including leading through managers. You will be committed to working in partnership with older people and demonstrate a flexible approach to your work and a willingness to get involved and collaborate
