Salary:  €70,000 - €75,000 per annum.

Employment:  Full-time, 35 hours per week.

Contract: Permanent

Location: Hybrid - office based 1.5 – 2 days from Anam Cara’s HQ in Dublin D24 plus home working. The role will involve some travel, as services are offered across all Ireland.

Anam Cara is an all-Ireland charity providing information, resources and support after the death of a child to bereaved parents.   Anam Cara is now recruiting a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead the organisation and is seeking an outstanding candidate who can bring a comprehensive range of skills and experience to this vital position in the years ahead.

About the role

Reporting to the Chair of the Board of Directors, the successful candidate will be responsible for: 

• The effective leadership and governance of Anam Cara and for delivering its strategy and plans.
• Ensuring the stability and sustainability of current services and the expansion of support where this is needed across Ireland.
• Overseeing finances, fundraising and budgeting and the compliance and risk management that come with leading a charity.
• Inspiring a vital network of volunteers and professionals and managing a small, dedicated staff team.
• Building and maintaining positive and productive relationships with the Board and key stakeholders including funders, partners, state bodies and the media.
• Representing Anam Cara and acting as key spokesperson, advocate and ambassador in raising the organisations profile.
