Anam Cara Parent Bereavement understands we don’t live in an ideal world, we live in a world where children have died before their time. The organisation was set up in 2008 by a group of bereaved parents who following the death of their children realised there was a large gap in services available to support them through their grief and loss. They offer peer to peer monthly support groups in 14 locations in Ireland, online monthly support groups, bereavement information evenings, family remembrance days and frontline professional training.

About the Role

Anam Cara is now seeking to recruit a creative, ambitious and compassionate Community Fundraising and Grants Manager to work directly with corporate, individual and community partners to build fundraising capacity for the organisation.

This is a new position within the organisation and the successful candidate will work closely with the CEO to shape the fundraising strategy and implement it. They will develop corporate partnerships, manage and build on grant applications, work with the community and key stakeholders to deliver fundraising events and other initiatives to build fundraising capacity for Anam Cara.  

To succeed in this role, you will have experience working with multiple revenue streams, working to budgets and timelines and exploring new opportunities. You will be comfortable working on your own initiative, creative in your thinking and able to contribute bespoke or perhaps commercial ideas around fundraising. You will also demonstrate empathy and understanding of the values and mission of Anam Cara.
