Crann

CONTRACT:  Full-time, permanent role.

SALARY: €95,000 - €110,000

LOCATION:   This role is based at the Crann Centre in Ovens, County Cork. There is an opportunity for hybrid working with the SMT currently working 1 day from home.

BACKGROUND

Crann supports children, adults and families living with neuro-physical disabilities across Munster. Through a community-based, family-centred approach and its unique, evidence-informed Two Generation (2Gen) Model of Care, Crann delivers specialist services designed to improve health, wellbeing and participation across the lifespan while recognising that disability impacts the whole family.

The organisation currently supports over 800 families and works closely with individuals, carers and professionals to address the real and practical challenges faced by families living with lifelong disability. Research and lived experience have shaped Crann’s work from the outset. Through partnerships with organisations including University College Cork, the organisation is committed to measuring impact, strengthening evidence and contributing to wider systems change in disability services.

Since commencing services in 2019, Crann has grown steadily in both scale and ambition and is now entering a new phase focused on long-term sustainability, evidence-informed practice and strengthening its ability to influence how disability services are designed and delivered.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Due to the planned retirement of the current Chief Executive, Crann is now seeking a successor to lead to the organisation into its next phase of development. Reporting to the Board, the successful candidate will provide inspirational and effective leadership, ensuring that Crann delivers on its vision, mission, and strategic objectives while keeping families at the centre of its focus and maintaining financial sustainability and strong compliance.

This is a highly visible leadership role requiring a strong relationship-builder who can engage confidently with a range of stakeholders including service users and families, staff, funders, policymakers and partners. The successful candidate will lead a capable Senior Management Team, work closely with the Board, and play a key role in strengthening governance, financial stewardship and fundraising to support Crann’s mission.

The ideal candidate will bring senior leadership experience within the non-profit sector, alongside a strong track record in strategic planning, organisational development and stakeholder engagement. Experience managing organisational finances and supporting fundraising will be important and working knowledge of the health or disability service landscape would be a distinct advantage.

If you are a non-profit leader with the experience to guide a growing organisation and the ability to build strong relationships, and you are excited by the opportunity to lead an innovative organisation delivering a unique model of care for families, we would love to hear from you.
