Contract:  Permanent, full-time 

Location:  Primarily based at Hawk’s Well Theatre in Sligo. You will be required to travel to and work at various locations and sites as dictated by the needs of the business. Occasional working from home will be permitted.

Salary: €45,000 - €50,000

Hawk’s Well Theatre has been entertaining audiences for over 40 years since its foundation in 1982. Its mission is to produce and present inspiring, imaginative, and engaging performances while embracing the vibrant culture alive in Sligo by providing a creative space for performance, collaboration, and learning.  


Hawk’s Well Theatre’s Artistic Policy revolves around three focus areas: Inspiring, Creating and Entertaining. It provides a welcoming, friendly venue for the community of Sligo and the Northwest which gives artistic opportunities to performers in the community.  


Hawk’s Well Theatre is now recruiting an ambitious, experienced Fundraising and Development Manager to join its senior management team with overall responsibility for fundraising and income generation. The successful candidate will work with the Director to ensure that Hawk’s Well continues to be financially sustainable in order to meet the needs of the people and diverse communities it serves.  

 


About the role 


The Fundraising and Development Manager will work with the Director and Senior Management Team to develop and implement a robust and realistic fundraising and income generation strategy. Key responsibilities will include: 


Developing strong relationships with all stakeholders to understand the work of Hawk’s Well and translate this into appropriate and agreed proposals, asks and campaigns. 


  • Nurturing existing relationships with supporters and clients;
  • Planning and executing special events that engage donors ;
  • Identifying new grant funding opportunities ;
  • Providing leadership and line management to inspire excellence in customer experience.

To take on this exciting role, we are seeking a candidate with previous experience developing and implementing successful fundraising and/or income-generation strategies. Ideally, you will have a track record of fundraising success in at least one of the following income streams: grants and trusts, major donors, corporate, individual giving, research funding, and digital/ online fundraising. You will have brilliant communication and networking skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with a range of stakeholders.
